We are a group of volunteers in the Seattle area working to pass I-522. Please use our website to educate yourself and your community about the importance of labeling genetically engineered foods, and take action!
The most important actions you can take for the week of November 3rd are:
1. Have conversations with your family, friends, and any communities you are a part of about why voting YES on I-522 is important to you. You have more influence than any pundit, newspaper, or TV commercial, so use your power.
2. Phone Bank with the campaign. Phone banking is one of the most effective ways to reach a large number of voters. There are phone banking events held regularly, and an online system in place so that you can make calls from home! Click here to get started.
4. Canvass businesses and distribute information. We’ve found that distributing information outside of farmer’s markets, grocery stores, movie theaters, and any large events is a great way to engage people in conversations, recruit volunteers, and raise awareness. Check out our Materials page to get started!
5. Write letters to the editor. Submit them to your local paper, or in response to any recent news articles about I-522. It only takes a few minutes and reaches a large audience! Here’s a guide to get you started.
Not enough to keep you busy? Contact us to get involved in planning events, media, and speaking tours, or start your own project!
